That ChatGPT can automatically generate one thing that reads even superficially like human-written text is exceptional, and unexpected. But how does it do it? And why does it work? My objective right here is to present a rough outline of what’s occurring inside ChatGPT-and then to discover why it's that it could possibly achieve this nicely in producing what we'd consider to be meaningful text. I should say on the outset that I’m going to concentrate on the large image of what’s occurring-and whereas I’ll point out some engineering particulars, I won’t get deeply into them.
